Una storia della vita quotidiana

Bill Bryson: At Home: A Short History of Private Life, Doubleday

A lot of time is dedicated to events like the Wars of the Roses and the Normandy Landings, but little attention is given to what history really consists of: centuries upon centuries of people quietly going about their daily business. Beginning with his own house, he considers how ordinary things came to be, and looks at everything from architecture to food preservation.
